We were SWAMPED at work today. I wanted to run into the back kitchens and cry--the $130 plus change in tips helped me get over it, however. Anyway!

Things are bettering. We DID get our tree--a lil' Charlie Brown type, $15 lol. We ALWAYS get a tree like that, and we luv it. We can't fit a huge one in our house, anyway. :) So thanks guys, being so sweet and asking about that. Meanwhile, moar thanks!... to julchen11; the usual lovely, sweet card with sweet words and the ornaments! Gavs has been obsessed over them, lol! I let him put it on the tree last night. Thank you, baby. I hope something for YOU comes soon... it'd best. *HUG*! I'm going into work in about an hour--I actually LIKE working on Christmas Eve, as long as they're mornings. I will give superior service and get many big tips from nice people. *hee* Either that or it'll be super-slow and me and Barb'll spend the last hour with a glass of wine, talking about stupid relatives while eating French meat pie. Or something. When I get home, I'll be finishing up the Chrimbo C/Zs and baking loads of cherry-almond and apple topped scones. They came out AWESOME the other night. C/Z Christmas--How The Grinch Stole Christmas

I'm posting this a bit early since after tonight, I won't be near a computer for most of the next 7 days or so as we'll be on vacation and I'll have extremely limited computer access. (A quick thank-you to prisca1960 for the lovely blue/silver Christmas star card and to claudia603 for the Joyful Holiday Card. Thanks so much ladies.) No snow here yet. That's usually not a good sign. NE is dreadful when we all think, "Hmm, maybe it isn't coming--" BANG!!!!"AHHHH!" Got sommore lovelies in the mail! Thanks AGAIN to verangel for the beeees, heehee!, grean for the sweetness sent with her card, & gini_baggins sending hobbity-luv! You guys are so killeh. :) ION, had the most rotten dream last night that actually gave me slight whiplash. It set the mood for today; I did nothing but sit around and mope, and it's all this stupid dream's fault. ( Rotten, rotten, rotten. )*sigh* Oh well. Hopefully tonight will be different. SO hope I wake up to lots of snow, and even if I have to go into work, things are chill and not as crazy (tips are awesome, but oh, Sundays are MURDER!)... it'll be fun, nonetheless. I like working when it snows. Weird that. |

Me again
I've missed so much here, Jesus. All my fish were dead in Fish World on FB. Damn it. I revived 'em, but what a pain in the ass. *stupid sigh* My tooth is bugging me. My decompressing is... weird. I'm hitting the point where all I can think is, "Please, no one call. Please, no one come by. Please--no stimulation whatsoever, or I'll essplode." Comments disabled, cos' I'm just being grouchy. Yesterday was one hell of a whirlwind. For one, if you guys can throw good vibes and healing *hugs* to my neighbor K., that'd be great. She's one of our movie buds. She and her wife have been having a hard time; K. has been having weird, serious health probs that involves loads of fluid gathering in her limbs, shortness of breath, etc. Pan took the bus on Wednesday so I could get them to her doc's appt. (they don't drive, no car), and they found out they'd get the results the next day (yesterday). So yesterday, I'm at work when N. (wife) calls, sounding like she'd been crying for months, asking me when I'd be home. So right after I got home, she stopped in and let me know that K. has congestive heart failure. It's not in the most omg-serious stages I guess, but bad enough. She just sat there and cried, which of course, made ME cry. So after a few minutes on LJ and tending to my FB games, I spent the night running around town; I had to do groceries anyway, so I picked 'em up some super-healthy foods. They traded their BAD food with us, lol. The pharmacy actually let me pick her meds up, too. She seems 'okay', almost better than N. N.'s very emotional, so this is hitting her hard. Please send 'em some *love*, if you will. *hugs up the f-list* So now I'm playing catch-up! After a nice long day at work (which I was almost late for, hitting 'off' instead of 'snooz' on my cell's alarm--helped that for whatever odd reason, Gavs was up at 3 AM ffs), I'm locking me, Pan and Gavs in and we're staying put! Gonna write, gonna chill, gonna eat! And THANK YOUS! to aliensouldream, frolijah_fan_54, claudia603 for the cards! Plus cat_luvs_guysx2's YUMMEH JOSHY and ornament!, verangel and the sweetest lil' bracelet evah, frodosweetstuff for one of the cutest F/S cards on the planet, and lbilover and the absolutely AWESOME Casey Connor Trading Card (TM)!!! This is a sad piece of news from my town that's rocked the area the last week: Westfield Boy Found Injured At Boys & Girl's Club. This is a six-year old kid we're talking about, beaten almost to death in the bathrooms. The suspect at this point, though it's not official of course, is a fifteen-year old; that report is here, where it talks of the boy (thankfully) recovering. #1--My best friend's daughter is seven and goes to the B&G's club for this very after-school program. #2--Gavs himself is six. =--I'd like to take away this kid's kneecaps. As a disclaimer, right here and now, I won't. But in another world, I'd love to; I don't care if there's a rotten home life or a drunk dad or a learning disability. I really don't. I'm hitting the reptilian brain with this chestnut. I'm 33, a lot older than this kid, but hey--at least he could attempt to defend himself if I came at him with a baseball bat, unlike a small six-year old kid. Current Mood:  disgusted |

Y'know how I kept screaming and whining, "NO ROOT CANAL!! WAHHHH! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!!"? Well, I caved. And y'know, it ain't so bad, since my dentist is made of sweet-deal. :) Okay, so it'll prolly start aching and owing relatively soon, small headache's comin' on as I type, and EW to the nth for the taste in my mouth, but hey. I was expecting to come home and cry on LJ about "Oh, my life sucks, I hate my teeth!" but no! I'll still whine like a muckerfuther when I go in for my NEXT root canal (as it's planned once my insurance renews in 2010, *shivers*). I always do. They tease me relentlessly. :P Edit... okay, some bad news... my mom had to put her cat down. It was MY kitteh back in college. :(... I'll be okay. *sighz* Current Mood:  impressed |

I'd make everyone Dutch Baby pancakes and read 'The Gay Man's Kama Sutra' to all of you, but I'm dead. Broken and dead. *GLOMPS* You angel-devil s!, you. All apologies to FSS for the mix-up, as well. I'd not gotten an order form with the book, and both pressies came at the same time. I'd mistakenly assumed they were from the same person! Please forgive, my sweetie. :P MOAR correction: There WAS an order form the size of a stamp tucked and crumpled in the corner. *headdesk moar* IO(bad)N, I'm gonna head out soon.
